Director - Tax & ComplianceJob Overview
A senior leadership position responsible for overseeing tax, compliance, and operational functions within a consultancy. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and proven experience in UAE taxation. This position includes full operational ownership along with a defined pathway toward future profit sharing and equity participation.
Key ResponsibilitiesA. Compliance & Technical Leadership- Manage end-to-end VAT, Corporate Tax, ESR, and AML compliance.
- Perform final review and quality control of all statutory filings.
- Represent clients before the FTA for audits, clarifications, and dispute resolution.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate associated risks.
- Drive revenue growth and profitability.
- Introduce and scale advisory and value-added services.
- Improve operational efficiency, processes, and margins.
- Prepare quarterly MIS reports and performance dashboards.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the tax and compliance team.
- Oversee hiring, training, performance reviews, and internal capability building.
- Develop SOPs and streamline workflows.
- Ensure consistent service delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Act as the senior escalation point for priority clients.
- Build and retain long-term client relationships.
- Support leadership with strategic planning and business expansion insights.
- CA / ACCA / CPA / CTA / CMA
- 8-12+ years of UAE tax and compliance experience
- Strong exposure to FTA audits, advisory, and compliance
- Proven leadership experience within tax or consulting firms
- Experience scaling a professional services function
- Strong commercial and technical balance
