Lead the regional sales function, manage high-value techno-commercial negotiations, and develop strategies to expand market share across African markets. Collaborate closely with production, government bodies, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and business compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the regional sales team to meet growth and revenue targets.
- Conducting daily/weekly meetings with the production teams and be on top of all updates to manage the team well.
- Strategic thinking with analytical problem-solving at the production, sales levels.
- Excellent liaising skills with the local government bodies.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to expand customer base across African markets.
- Handle end-to-end techno-commercial discussions and contract closures.
- Identify and convert new business opportunities through various sales and marketing channels.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding and addressing their needs.
- Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and market insights to management.
- Work closely with internal teams (operations, logistics, finance) for smooth deal execution.
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree in relevant field would be an added advantage).
- 8-10 years of proven sales experience in Africa (preferably in steel/recycling/manufacturing/Trading).
- Should fall between 40-50 years of age bracket.
- Strong techno-commercial background with ability to understand product and contract terms.
- Industry knowledge in steel profiles or steel structures is preferred.
- ERP/softwar;e proficiency is required.
- Fluent in Hindi, French and English is a must (written and spoken).
- Excellent negotiation, team management, interpersonal & communication skills.
- Expert in the law of the land.
- Self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset with strong leadership capabilities.
