Finance Group Director (FS-110030015)

A leading regional group operating across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia is seeking an experienced Group Finance Director to lead its finance strategy, planning, and governance. The organization is scaling rapidly in the logistics and digital commerce space, with operations focused on innovation, efficiency, and regional market leadership.

Role Summary

The Group Finance Director will oversee the end-to-end finance function, including financial planning, reporting, tax, compliance, and business support. This role is critical to driving financial discipline, enabling sustainable growth, and supporting strategic initiatives such as M&A and digital transformation. The successful candidate will work closely with executive leadership, local finance teams, and key stakeholders across the group.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and 12-month cash flow planning
• Oversee monthly closing, reporting, payroll accruals, AR/AP, and financial controls
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and accurate, timely financial reporting
• Manage relationships with auditors, banks, regulators, and external advisors
• Support financial due diligence, commercial bid reviews, and acquisitions
• Lead group-wide tax strategy and regulatory compliance across all markets
• Drive automation, ERP utilization, and reporting enhancements
• Build and lead a high-performing regional finance team
• Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Commerce (mandatory)
• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification required
• 10+ years of experience in senior finance leadership, preferably in logistics, supply chain, or e-commerce
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP, and international tax
• Proven experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP) and financial reporting tools (Hyperion, Power BI)
• Track record in managing finance across multiple jurisdictions, especially in the GCC and Africa
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and commercial acumen
